A prayer for Easter Worship

April 03, 2010

Tomorrow is a celebration of Your resurrection. And we are preparing for that big event O Lord. Tomorrow, there will be lots of singing and dancing… I thank thee my Lord for using someone such as me.. the all of me. All of my emotions that stir up whenever I see something “mediocre”, or whenever something “grips” my heart. All of my strength and weaknesses, Your God-given gift of skills and talents.. my everything I bringing You a praise through dance. I believe as they dance to praise Your Holy Name, You will be glorified, You will be magnified. Be glorified Father! Be glorified!

release Your power to work in us and through us..” as the song goes…

“open the heavens O Lord, pour out Your Spirit!”

Lord, our humble plea is that You will work in us and through us, that You pour out You Spirit upon us- as Your people, upon Your church, upon Your nation, upon us- Your beautiful bride.
We who have been redeemed by Your blood, cleanse and pure, blameless in Your sight through Your Son Jesus Christ.

Father, in everything, be glorified!

Work in us- the praise and worship team.. work in us as we play skillfully, as we bring our worship for You alone. As we all together, sing with all our hearts out and all our strength, our soul and mind to WORSHIP YOU.

Work in every details of the worship service tomorrow God. From the sound system to instruments, from Your people to the worshipers. Work O God, by You Holy Spirit, work in us, that You may be glorified, that we may give our “best”, our “everything” for YOU ALONE.

IT’S GOOD TO WAIT

MARCH 25, 2010

Will a rework of what you're waiting for suddenly bring into focus a man you didn't consider before? It might. But even if it doesn't, when we wait patiently for what we long for — and what we're longing for conforms to God's design — God uses the waiting to align our desires with His and refine us in the process.

And that kind of purposeful waiting has the potential to produce a good result, both spiritually and relationally. As you grow closer to God, you'll be equipped to discern the character of the men you meet and whether they have the potential to be good husbands. And you'll be prepared to be in relationship with a man, first as his friend and eventually, as his wife.

When you wait on the Lord, the time before marriage will be sweeter. Your spirit will be at peace, even with all the frustration of our relationally broken world. You'll be better prepared to get married and be married for His glory. And if marriage never happens, though thankfully that's statistically unlikely, your waiting won't have been wasted.

Psalm 5:3
New International Version (NIV)
 3 In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
   and wait expectantly.

Lamentations 3:24-26
New International Version (NIV)

24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
   to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.

Frustrations and Hurts

March 15, 2010

Revelation 4:11
English Standard Version (ESV)
11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for You created all things,
and by Your will they existed and were created.”

Lord it saddens me again, my heart is looking for a “change”, and I am always dismayed, disappointed.. for all these years, there was none at all! Para bang walang saysay ang lahat ng tinuturo at natutunan (meron nga ba?) ang lahat ng napag-aralan kung hindi rin lang naa-apply!

Twice I have felt this Lord- annoyance and gloominess. It annoys me to see that the “team” is not “serious” enough to be Your instruments… simple thing- TIME. Simple thing –DISCIPLINE.. and we have NONE! For all these years, we have NONE!

We are not doing our BEST in everything- that is the saddest part. IN EVERYTHING!
TIME, TALENT, TREASURES! THE BIG T3!

Masama ang loob ko that we are not using Your precious time to do what is NECESSARY.
So, how could I dance, sing and shout for joy if I could not? You know I can’t. I can’t glorify You in this state.

And no one can heal me again and again but YOU.

Nothing I am more secure and safest than in YOUR ARMS.

Nothing I am more serene than in YOUR PEACE.

Often times I have to walk away, or just leave.. because I’m not strong enough to stay. Knowing that I could only run into Your side and seek for Your help, to renew a right spirit within me.

And sometimes Lord, napapagod na ako. I am tired of crying, of disappointments, of dismays, of hardship in this ministry.. and yet…

I know in my heart that I can’t let You go. And so it continues, everything what I feel, everything I think.. and it continues to break my heart, and I know nasaktan ko din sila sa mga sinabi ko.
But Lord, sometimes the harsh words are the words that could pierce a soul. So that they may see the SERIOUSNESS of being used by You.

We should not give you anything that is MEDIOCRE. Because You are a BIG GOD! You deserves our very BEST.

And it hurts to see, that I know they can give You more, but chose to give little
.
We need to CHANGE LORD.

WE NEED A PURE HEART, RIGHT DESIRES.

WE CAN’T JUST GIVE YOU A BIT OF US

WE NEED TO GIVE YOU ALL OF US.

And Lord, I can’t see that...

And it frustrates me...

It disappoints me...

It saddens me...

All is VANITY! ALL IS USELESS!

UNLESS…

WE CHANGE.. TRULY CHANGE.

The First P&W Midweek Service

March 10, 2010

It’s been an amazing night Lord! The first praise and worship midweek service was a momentous event of singing, praising and declaring Your goodness!

(Now I will have my reasons on coming to midweek! Ang sama e!) I don’t usually go to midweek service... words of Tita Mich is echoing na midweek service ay para sa mga hindi nakakadalo ng Sunday worship service… even though she said that, I still don’t go anyways, occasional lang, the last time I attended was when I passed the board exam!

And now Pastor Abe is changing the format of midweek, wherein most of the songs will be lead by the Praise and Worship team. God will do something far better than just “we” leading the worship. Far better…

You know Oh Lord, that I’ve been hoping for this to happen... and this night was the start! The flow of worship was changed... but beautifully changed!

May this be the start of something new... of something that will draw us closer to  You, to focus on You and less in us. To look to You and only to You.

Psalm 107:1
English Standard Version (ESV)
107 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
