TRUE LOVE WAITS

AUGUST 08, 2007
10:10PM

True love is…
Waiting patiently
Waiting for the perfect time and that is God’s perfect time
Making yourself in purity in the eyes of God

Blessed singleness is…
Serving God as your primary desire in life
No attachments to opposite sex on deeper relationships but only “friendship”
Focusing more on God and not just on earthly needs

Marriage is…
A commitment of faith, hope and love with someone you have sworn before God
Sanctification between two different people bound by God alone
Sacred vow between you and your God-given wife/husband and God
Lifetime commitment till death do you part

Therefore...

True love waits is…
Waiting for God’s perfect time for the right one to come along in your life
And while patiently waiting our primary goal as singles
is to make our self pure and holy in the eyes of God
And to serve and love God “wholly”, with all your heart, mind, soul and strength

By God’s will someone will come along
Who will commit himself/ herself to a life long partnership with you

A Woman’s Question
Mary Lena Lathrop

Do you know you have asked for the costliest thing
Ever made by the hand above--
A woman's heart, and a woman's life
And a woman's wonderful love?
Do you know you have asked for this priceless thing
As a child might ask for a toy,
Demanding what others have died to win,
With the reckless dash of a boy?
You have written my lesson of duty out,
Man-like you have questioned me;
Now stand at the bar of my woman's soul
Until I shall question thee.
You require your mutton shall always be hot,
Your socks and your shirt be whole;
I require your heart to be true as God's stars,
And as pure as heaven your soul.
You require a cook for your mutton and beef;
I require a far better thing.
A seamstress you're wanting for socks and shirts;
I look for a man and a king.
A king for the beautiful realm called home,
And a man that the maker, God,
Shall look upon as he did the first
And say, "It is very good."
I am fair and young, but the rose will fade
From my soft, young cheek one day,
Will you love me then 'mid the falling leaves,
As you did 'mid the bloom of May?
Is your heart an ocean so strong and deep,
I may launch my all on its tide?
A loving woman finds heaven or hell
On the day she is made a bride.
I require all things that are grand and true,
All things that a man should be;
If you give all this, I would stake my life
To be all you demand of me.
If you cannot do this -- a laundress and cook
You can hire, with little to pay,
But a woman's heart and a woman's life
Are not to be won that way.

“Keep you standards high. Require all things that are grand and true. As you consider the possibility of marriage, don’t lower your standards for a moment, any guy who asks you to do so isn’t worth your time.”
--Joshua Harris I KISSED DATING GOODBYE--

A TIME FOR REMEMBERING
Ruth Bell

If I marry:
He must be so tall
that when he is on his knees, as one has said, he reaches all the way to heaven
his shoulders must be broad enough
to bear the burden of a family
his lips must be strong enough to smile,
firm enough to say no
and tender enough to kiss

love must be so deep that it takes its stand in Christ,
and so wide that it takes the whole lost world in.
he must be active enough to save souls.
He must be big enough to be gentle
And great enough to be thoughtful.
His arms must be strong enough
To carry a little child.

“You will never make a more important decision than the person you marry.”
 “begin to pray that God will prepare the heart of the one He intends for you to marry.”
--devotion for graduates—

“Marriage is much more than a wedding ceremony. A wedding is an event but a Marriage id a state of being. It’s not a one time act, it’s a LIFELONG COMMITMENT to be developed and maintained.”
--Gary and Betsy Ricucci LOVE THAT LASTS

“When God knows you’re ready for the RESPONSIBILITY OF COMMITMENT, He’ll reveal the right person under the right circumstances.”

We couldn’t lay our futures in better hand. All we have to do is TRUST.”

“Let’s live our TODAYS for His Kingdom and entrust our TOMORROWS to His providence
--joshua harris I KISSED DATING GOODBYE—
