More to See

MORE TO SEE

HILLSONG

Well I know that I may have had
My share of failing and falling
But I have come to understand
One thing remains
By all He’s done
I have been made holy
Worthy of serving the One
The One who wrote eternity
So deep in my heart

Open your eyes and see
The wonder of a life
So wonderfully free
Lift up your head believe
There is more
There’s so much more to see

You remind me still
Of the hope and promise
Daring my heart to be brave
And all the while
You strengthen me
So deep in my heart

His mercies are new every morning
His mercies are new every day
His mercies are new every morning
Beautifully new every day

Lift up your eyes and see
Lift up your eyes and see
Lift up your eyes and see
Lift up your eyes and see

The Waiting...

September 01, 2010

Being in love is a feeling. Real love goes far beyond feeling.
-       Elisabeth Elliot

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)
4 This love of which I speak is slow to lose patience—it looks for a way of being constructive. It is not possessive: it is neither anxious to impress nor does it cherish inflated ideas of its own importance.
5-6 Love has good manners and does not pursue selfish advantage. It is not touchy. It does not keep account of evil or gloat over the wickedness of other people. On the contrary, it is glad with all good men when truth prevails.
7-8a Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen.

Lord, You’ve always been my guide and my help.. you have guided me on my life’s journey.. ffor every decisions I made, for every confusions and doubts, for every fear and longing, Lord You are there, always..

And so Lord, my hope is in You.. yes I will wait on You.. I will wait on You and wait for someone who’s waiting for me…

Lord make me a woman for the godly man You have created and prepared for me..

The Covenant of Grace

August 26, 2010

THE COVENANT OF GRACE
-       Martyn Lloyd-Jones (WALKING WITH GOD)

Exodus 6:7
English Standard Version (ESV)
I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God.

God has made certain promises. So what is the  great central promises that He has made in the covenant of grace? He has promised to a GOD UNTO MAN. That is the great promise: I will be to you a God.” Do you see the importance and significance of this? God had been the God of Adam, but Adam sinned against Him and fell, he became the slave of Satan and broke the connection with God. And the remarkable and the astounding thing is that God turned to man and assured him in the covenant of grace that He had a way whereby He could still be a God to man, “I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God.”

Make a note of that because as you go through the Scriptures you will find that this great promise is repeated time and time again. You will find it in Jeremiah 31:33. 32:38-40. You will find it in Ezekiel 34:23-25, 36: 25-28, 37:26-27. You will find in in 2 Corinthians 6:16-18 and in Hebrews 8:10, and in a marvelous way, in Revelation 21:3 where we read

Revelation 21:3

English Standard Version (ESV)
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place[a] of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people,[b] and God himself will be with them as their God.[c]

That is the final state. So you see that is the very essence of God’s promise in the covenant of grace- that what had been broken by sin and the Fall was going to be restored. And the supreme blessing therefore, the ultimate blessing, the blessing of blessings, is that GOD IS MY GOD AND THAT I HAVE A RIGHT TO SAY “MY GOD”. And that whole salvation is included in that.

How often do we tend to define salvation in terms other than that? Yet the greatest thing a human being can ever say since Fall is this: “GOD IS MY GOD”.

Cannot help but to be awed.. amazed… silenced.. by this wonderful truth.. YOU ARE MY GOD!
What a wonderful privilege that You are my God. That I am Yours.. I am Your child, You are my Father, my God! Amen and amen!
Praise be to You my God!
Amazing! Wonderful! Powerful! Omnipotent! Omniscient! Omnipresent! Magnificent! Indescribable GOD!
All I can do is to praise You, worship You, adore You.
I am speechless by Your love.. by WHO YOU ARE!

Lord, Here's My Heart

July 31, 2010
2 Samuel 24:24
24  I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God that cost me nothing.”
“ Lord,” I said, “here’s my heart.”
-       Elisabeth Elliot (Passion and Purity)

Lord, I’ve always told You that my heart was the weakest in me… the desire to be loved and cherished are always the longing of my heart. My heart who aches for a man that will love me as I am, care and need me… treasure me.. as I am to him…

And my heart was filled with hopes with this man. Will our time come? Will the time comes when he can look me in the eye and say that “I am only his” and no one else… time when he can hold my hand, my only hand. Time when his heart will be offered to me and only me… as a man gives his heart to his only “woman”.

Lord I kept this things inside my heart… wishing, hoping, that one day we will be together, til death could only separate us apart.

But Lord, You have shown me, how I sinned in my heart and my thoughts. I coveted to someone who is already with someone.

The pain was there…

And You have shown me that I couldn’t hope for that “someday”
.
That someday will be Yours to make if You will it to.

The man will be given if is Your will to give…

So now Lord, here’s my heart…

I entrust my heart to You.. all what’s inside my heart…

The one that I long for is in Your hands…

The pain to surrender it to You Lord, was for now… but I give it to You

I could only hope to You… and in You

I could only trust that You know what’s best…

Trust that Your goodness never fails..

Trust that You hold my future in better hands

Trust that Your promises are true.

Mark 9:24

English Standard Version (ESV)
24  “I believe; help my unbelief!”

Trust me, I have not earned your dear rebuke,
I love, as you would have me, God the most;
Would lose not Him, but you, must one be lost,
Nor with Lot's wife cast back a faithless look Unready to forego what I forsook.

This say I, having counted up the cost,
This, though I be the feeblest of God's host,
The sorriest sheep Christ shepherds with His crook.

Yet while I love my God the most, I deem
That I can never love you overmuch;
I love Him more, so let me love you too.

Yea, as I apprehend it, love is such
I cannot love you if I love not Him,
I cannot love Him if I love not you.
-       Christina Rossetiti

What do I really want? Was it love what God commands, in the words of the elect and to desire what He promises? Did I want what I wanted, or did I want what He wanted, no matter what it might cost?
-       Elisabeth Elliot
